"Movements are not programs. They are intent, followed by constant adaptation to variables. The more control a person has over their individual articulations, the more degrees of freedom = better adaptability."
--Dr Andreo Spina
From the famous downward facing dog to the slightly more swaggering handstand, some of the movement we make in our yoga practice create big demands on certain joins, tissues and muscles. Learn the art of adapting these movements to your body with the tools of alignment, gain strength and stability in your joints and help your connective tissue and muscles adapt to help your arm balances soar.
We will will explore downward facing dog, handstands, and crow variations.
This session is part of the Stretching The City Summer Series; a series of Monday evening yoga workshops designed to help you delve deeper into your practice, explore new styles, discover different yoga theories and philosophies.
