Our Oxford yoga retreat, near Bicester, is set in a pretty little village in the heart of Oxfordshire. Be prepared to be spoilt in our luxurious and sumptuous pad. Rooms recently refurbished, relax in splendor and comfort and feel like you really are looking after yourself.

Venue and local area

Less than 1 hour from London by train, feel as if you have escaped the rat race and surround yourself in sweeping countryside with endless views. Built in 1908 in striking sandstone, it stands grandly at the end of a long drive flanked with lime trees. It’s a world away from the everyday, and is a place that will leave you feeling relaxed and positive.

Historically, the house was used during the Second World War to help in the effort to break the Enigma code. Over 10, 000 people were involved in this work, as each day the code had to be broken anew, creating a sense of community and support. Today it is a family home, a wedding venue and now a yoga retreat venue, and so continues to bring people together.

It was bought in 1979 by the same family who own it now who have carefully restored the house and manicured its beautiful gardens to its present glory. The retreat is very private and the yoga studio looks out onto the terrace, gardens and extensive countryside. The rooms are sumptuously decorated to a very high standard. It is the perfect place to relax, switch off, and feel that you are being looked after for a relaxing and revitalising weekend yoga break.

The rooms have a sumptuous, classic feel so you will feel spoilt yet it also feels homely so you can completely relax and switch off. They are all spacious, luxuriously decorated in amazing fabrics and have beautiful views of the surrounding countryside. The house has a huge welcoming lounge with cosy sofas and an open fire. The dining room is light and airy with fabulous views of the grounds. There are fascinating paintings and fresh flowers everywhere.

There’s a choice of 9 rooms which are either twins or doubles. The house has stayed true to its origins so all the bathrooms are outside the bedrooms.
